Ultimate guide to join coaching classes for JEE

Many of you are thinking about which coaching institute should you join? Or should you join any? If you have a similar question then you are on the right page. Here I will tell you the perfect guide to select your coaching center. Although this guide focuses on JEE aspirants, it is also helpful for NEET aspirants as well.
ROLE OF COACHING CENTERS -   Coaching classes play an important role in your preparation, but you play the most important role. Classes don’t have any Harry Potter's magic wand. They will only guide you on the right track. They are experienced in that. They have a proper schedule, which if you follow, chances are very high to qualify. Classes can tell you some tricks that you won't find in books. They will help you with your queries so that you won't waste your time on some irrelevant or high funda question. If you are a student who can make a right schedule and can act accordingly, and you have someone who can help you with your studies then it is fine not to join classes. But if you haven't done things like this ( preparing a schedule and following that perfectly ) before, then you should probably join some class ( or a very good college, which can act like classes ).

Advertise:  Don’t forget that classes are doing business, so advertisements might misguide you. If some classes have produced AIR 1, that doesn’t mean those classes are best for you. Some of them might give you some scholarships, still the fees will be a lot, for example, 20% discount would still result in a fees of 4 lakhs!! They pronounce that they take only those students who clear their "so-called "entrance exam. But this is the half-truth, they also take students who score very low, and student who is not interested in Engineering. Some of them even have very poor student-teacher ratio.

WHERE SHOULD YOU JOIN:  First prepare a list of classes that are within your reach ( In your city, or wherever you are planning to go ).
Appear for their entrance exam and wait for the result, don’t join classes just because they are giving you discount on fees.Giving scholarship isn't bad but it should not be your sole reason to join. Besides, if you are getting any scholarship from any class, then chances are very high that you would get scholarships from other classes too.
DON’T  join a class just because your friend or your school topper is joining there. You need to realise that every individual is different.
Now, attend their demo lectures to get an idea of the faculty. And make sure that the same faculty is going to teach (ask seniors).
Take all factors into consideration like language of teaching, location of class and experience of faculty.

WHAT TO DO AFTER JOINING:  Cracking JEE is not a difficult task, if only you do it rightly, if you follow a schedule and instructions from teachers. Just remember to do your work sincerely. Don’t forget teachers are there to help, so approach them anytime you feel necessary.

I will soon write a blog about what to do at the time of preparation, how to manage stress and my experience of JEE. So stay tuned.
Cheers
Best of Luck.

IITs and IISERs

Let me introduce myself, I am Yash Bhusare. Currently I am perceiving four years program (2016-2020) of Engineering Physics at IIT Madras. Recently I came across many students going through a dilemma, which is better, IIT’s or IISER. There are many myths about IITs and IISER, some consider that IITs outclass IISER which is not the case (even true in some aspects). Here in this blog I would like to put-up the true scenario. This blog mostly takes into account the students who are confused whether to opt for EP/BS/MS courses from IITs and BS/MS courses from IISER.    Both these institutes come from a very different background and thus there is no point in comparing the two. One comes from research background while the other brings technical education and a quite popular image with it.    On a first note I would suggest that if you are getting IISc and you are keen in Research and higher studies, then without a second thought you should go for it. II...

Engineering physics

Hi I am YASH BHUSARE , Engineering Physics student from IIT-M.In this blog I my going to tell you about the branch Engineering Physics and what you can expect from it. Although it covers many things about branch , but whatever I am going to write will be true for IIT-M . But it is worth of reading if you are planning for engineering physics .   Syllabus : EP   department at IIT-M is collaborated with electrical department .(here electrical may misguide you as electrical is electronics + electrical at IIT-M ) .You are introduced to physics courses like Quantum Mechanics , electrodynamics , solid state physics , statistical physics ,etc . Maths is the language of physics so in each semester you have courses from maths and some electrical department courses .and also EP lab etc. Here are the syllabus of EP at IIT-M , IIT-B , IIT-D , IIT-Guwahati . You can also have a look at what wik...

About IIT Madras

IIT-Madras     Hello, everyone, I am Yash Bhusare, student of IIT-Madras. I am starting a new series of blogs where you can find photos and information of some of the IITs. Information like Hostel, Mess, classrooms, etc Classrooms -  In your first year, you will have to share classrooms with a different branch because the first-year syllabus is almost same for the whole institute. First year’s typical room will look like this.                                                                                                            Hostel - In your first year, you will need to share your room with someone. Don't get scared of him/her (My roommate is one of my best friend). I wil...
